Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed light-brown sugar

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

2 large eggs

2 cups semisweet and/or dark chocolate chips

Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling on top

Instructions:

Preheat Oven and Prepare Pans:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Dry Ingredients:

In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugars:

In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, cream the butter and both sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs. Beat to integrate.

Combine with Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the flour mixture, beating until just incorporated.

Add Chocolate Chips:

Form the Cookies:

Bake:

Adding Sea Salt:

Cool:
